1991 Daytime NBC end date
[edit]The 1991 NBC daytime version ended on August 30, with reruns airing until September 20. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.59.245.106 (talk) 02:12, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
Why is Ryan Seacrest listed as a presenter?
[edit]He hasn’t hosted or taped a single episode yet. It’s still Pat Sajak. He shouldn’t be on there as of now. 2600:6C52:44F0:1240:D92D:C05D:D6E7:5CFA (talk) 06:17, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

Ending the Shopping Round
[edit]The article claims, "At any time during a shopping round, a contestant could choose to put his or her winnings either on a gift certificate or 'on account' for use in a later shopping round." Someone needs to recheck the source, because this is NOT accurate. Contestants were not allowed to end the shopping round as long as they could afford to buy anything else that was available. Then they could put their remaining money into a gift certificate or on account. There were plenty of times that Pat would stand there and wait for them to buy that $5 can opener or whatever simply because they had enough money for it. Otherwise, players would almost always have chosen to end the round immediately and take all their winnings as a gift certificate.
The article needs to be changed, but I don't know how to go about doing that when a source is cited, even though that source is difficult to verify. Sm5574 (talk) 14:56, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

- Wheel of Fortune (American game show) → Wheel of Fortune
- Wheel of Fortune → Wheel of Fortune (disambiguation)
– Primary topic per pageviews, and it's not even close. While some may argue long-term significance for Rota fortunae, the longest-running syndicated game show in the United States definitely has long-term significance as well. 162 etc. (talk) 19:45, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose I appreciate the American game show is important and significant, but the wheel of fortune as a concept in the history of ideas has considerably more long-term significance. Rafts of Calm (talk) 21:32, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose I am assuming 162 overlooked Wheel of Fortune (tarot card). There is only a 4x spread in pageviews, and when it comes to PTOPIC we're often looking for a much larger spread. I would agree that the balance of the article don't even come close. Furthermore per wikinav we see that only 34% of outgoing page views are going to the game, so there is a much larger percentage of people looking for something different. TiggerJay (talk) 05:40, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose. No primary topic, significant as the game show is. -- Necrothesp (talk) 16:32, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
